Nurture Nature (Celebrating Earth Day)

“Nature shows us how to live, love and grow alongside each other.” - Angie Weiland-Crosby

Earth day is a yearly reminder to respect and show gratitude to the planet we call home. It’s so easy to go about our daily lives and not keep mother earth as a top priority. Any small act to help protect and keep her clean, makes more of a difference than we can imagine.

Taking baby steps to help clean up the earth will eventually all add up to a bigger picture.

We want to bring awareness to ways you can recycle our jars and other packing materials we use. Oftentimes we get asked the question “do you take back your jars?” With storage limits and health reasons, we don’t take our jars back but we encourage recycling. There are plenty of ways you can repurpose what we provide for you. When we ship our products, our boxes include compostable peanuts, brown kraft paper, bubble wrap and the glass jar itself.

With the peanuts being compostable, they can be dissolved in water. You can also find ways to use them to fill something else you may be packing up or even use as a compost in your backyard!

When it comes to the brown craft paper, this is great for making a coloring pad for the kids, customizable wrapping paper, or get DIY with it by creating a book cover!

Bubble wrap is addicting, but most people don’t know what to do with it once they are done playing with it. You can place it in the recycling bin labeled “plastic bag”. This can be found at most grocery stores or public places with recycling. If you want to get DIY with this one, you can use it to insulate a grocery bag, homemade padded hanger for your clothes or use it as a windshield protector during the winter months.

Glass jars can be used for all kinds of things. We like to encourage people to either find a recycling bin that takes glass or repurpose the jars. You can make crafts, can foods, or organize items with these jars.

Recycling is one of the biggest ways we can help the earth out. You can also volunteer in your local community to help clean up trash, plant a tree, conserve water or even go outside and simply appreciate the beauty that is surrounding us everyday! Help contribute to preserving our one precious planet that we live on, keeping it safe and healthy for generations to come.
