When it comes to our Elderberry Syrup, there really isn’t a better product out there that gives you natural, small batch, hand crafted, organic ingredients to power your body and keep your family healthy and active. We use 6 simple ingredients which include; elderberries, aronia berries, ginger, ceylon cinnamon, clove, and raw local honey. The only natural thickening agent is raw local honey. We don’t add any preservatives or additives so caring for your syrup when you receive it is important!
We get asked all the time, “Do I need to refrigerate my syrup?” And the answer is YES! Most of the store-bought elderberry syrups out there are packed with preservatives, which is why they can last in the medicine cabinet for so long. Most preservatives are sugar laden and unhealthy for our bodies. So when it comes to our syrup, it does need to be placed in the refrigerator upon arrival. We test our syrup regularly to ensure it can be outside of the refrigerator during shipping, then put into your refrigerator when it arrives. Our syrup needs to be refrigerated upon arrival because we only use fresh ingredients, and refrigeration helps ensure your syrup will last its full 60 day shelf life! As a friendly reminder for our customers, we provide this information on our website in a couple of places. Our owner, Jenny, always says “Being clear is being kind”. So we want to make sure we are always clear with our customers! The first place you can find it is on the actual syrup product page. The second place is our FAQS page under the “about” tab.
Some other places we provide the information are on the thank you card that comes in your package along with a sticker on top of the lid of the jar.
We are very proud of this product that we put time and care in. We’re honored with the support of so many people as well. Not only in our hometown but across the US.
We truly appreciate your support and kindness.

Hey there Brenda, great question! As long as your syrup still smells and tastes fresh, you can normally go past the written Best By date by 2-3 weeks. Let us know if you have any other questions and we are happy to help!
That’s so great to hear Cynthia! Thank you for sharing your testimony on that. We appreciate your support.
Keeping away the stomach flu with you. Thanks!
Jeanne- Thanks for asking! Our peach honey may be out of stock for a while. We do not have a date for when they will return. We apologize for any inconvenience.
