Reviews

Elderberry wine

"I bought berries in order to make 5 gallons of Elderberry wine. I made this decision when I realized harvesting berries in the wild was going to be too difficult . I love the quality of the berries I received, and the wine is aging nicely. Bought another batch recently to do it all over again and to color my strawberry wine."

This was my first time

"This was my first time buying dried elderberries and first time making a batch of elderberry syrup. The berries were clean and dry. I used about half the bag and added Ceylon cinnamon, cloves and ginger, and topped it off with local raw honey. It turned out great! As we were all going through spring colds, we all benefited from frequent spoonfuls of the syrup. It’s time to make another batch! I will be buying again."

I ordered Thai to make

"I ordered Thai to make elderberry syrup for myself and my family. After talking about the Benefits of the syrup many of my friends asked for some as well. There is enough in the bag to make several batches of the syrups. I have already placed 2 more orders since my first one. I will continue to purchase and plan to look at additional products."

Chrystal M. (5/5)

Not edible, so plan is to return

"I don’t want to give any stars but your Review doesn’t allow that option. I didn’t know when I ordered that the dried elderberries are not edible, so I await a return envelope to return the package."

Great quality product

"Made my first batch of elderberry syrup with my first bag. Looks like I can do two good batches with each bag I order. I gifted my mom a second bag, and she's excited to make her own. Made a lovely looking and tasting syrup."

Jessica F. (5/5)

"I just made a batch of syrup with my first bag of elderberries. It’s great, and the toddlers love it! I look forward to a stronger immune system and less sickness coming home from daycare."

Hi Connie! You can store them in a cool, dry place.
Do you have a recipe to bake muffins?

What is shelf life of dried berries?
Thank you so much for your question! The use by date is September 2022, they are freshest by January 2022. After September they begin to lose their potency and could possibly begin to change in taste and smell.
Where are the elderberries harvested from?
We currently get our elderberries from Bulgaria and Ukraine!
Can you just eat them out of the bag for a snack like raisins?
Hello! They can not be eaten right out of the bag as dried Elderberries needed to be cooked in order to be consumed! You can reconstitute them and use them in different recipes!
