First, why is it essential to have clean skincare? What even are parabens and sulfates? According to the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, parabens are a group of chemicals with similar molecular structures that are commonly used as preservatives in cosmetics. Parabens can act as potential endocrine disruptors due to their ability to mimic estrogen. While using a product or two with parabens does not pose an issue, the concern grows when we note just how many products an individual uses that may contain parabens– same with artificial fragrances. If you are worried that applying oil to your face will make you… oily, do not worry! Since jojoba oil is so similar in its chemical makeup to our natural skin oils, it “tricks” your skin into thinking it is overproducing oil, thus leveling out your natural oil production. To hydrate the skin even further, we add rosehip oil. Lastly, we finish with peppermint oil and vanilla oil, to refresh and calm the skin. This combination of oils smells divine, bringing the spa experience right to your home!
