Full disclosure here…I’m in the middle of my maternity leave (snuggling a sleepy baby at the moment) and completely forgot that I had planned to write a blog on our storefront anniversary. In fact, I completely forgot it was September and that just four years ago this week, we had the most wonderful ribbon cutting ceremony for our sweet little storefront in downtown New Albany, Indiana. We filled the corner with customers, friends and family. We enjoyed the biggest charcuterie board (literally the length of our counter) while listening to music from a local musician. It was a dream come true and an inspiring day for many of us on our team. And it all was because of Elderberry Syrup!
In fact, our storefront has become an incredibly successful brick and mortar for the past four years and even through a pandemic…all because of our Elderberry Syrup and the true benefit it provides to our customers in keeping their families healthy and out of the doctor’s office. It’s funny when, on occasion, someone will walk into our store and say, “I don’t get it…it’s just Elderberry?” Now while I could take offense to this, I simply agree with their bewilderment and say, “Yea, isn’t that crazy??”
Why have we been able to build such a successful storefront? Here’s a few reasons why:

- We are truly a small business with real people. When you call our phone number or email our customer care team, you connect with one of our awesome team members. We only have about 12 on our team and I’m not joking when I say we have the BEST people in the world. We wash our jars by hand, bottle by hand, label by hand. Even the dates our jars are written by hand. It’s a labor of love and I’m so thankful that even in the quick growth of our business, we haven’t strayed from the quality that can only come from a strong small business that stays rooted to our values and offers amazing customer care.
- We have found more ways to empower our customers toward health and wellness. While we started with Elderberry Syrup, we didn’t stop there. We want to offer other ways our customers can live healthy and active lives.
